Founded by De’Jon Polanski in New Orleans in November 2016, Tropik Vybe Dance Company holds the rare distinction of focusing its scope on world-class training in the art of Salsa On 2, an Afro-Latin social dance. Within a disciplined environment, the company is committed to educating beast-level social dancers comfortable in the art of improvisation; the comprehensive curriculum includes history, culture, musical and stylistic sub-genres, solo footwork, lead-and-follow relationship, social dance etiquette, energy management, body movement, styling, spin technique, and other elements that comprise this rich dance. The efficacious program enables students to feel comfortable on the social dance floor or in a training environment anywhere in the world, as well as equips them to be more aware, vital, and well-rounded individuals. Tropik Vybe Dance Company is now located in Dallas as of July 2022.
